    On 4/16/24 at 1450 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a small passenger car on the Kenai Spur Hwy near Techatnu St. in Nikiski. Investigation revealed the driver, Juett Lynwood Cook, 30 of Nikiski, was driving without a license, No Insurance, and with a license plate that did not belong to the vehicle. Cook was issued two misdemeanor citations for No Insurance and Misuse of Plates, and cited for No Valid Operators License (NVOL).

    On 4/16/2024 at approximately 0026 hours, Palmer Patrol Troopers responded to a residence in Palmer for a domestic disturbance. Investigation determined that Tye Chikigak-Steadman, age 39, of Palmer injured a household member and placed other members in fear of being injured along with damaging property inside the residence. On 4/17/2024 at approximately 1245 hours, Troopers with Palmer Judicial Services arrested Chikigak-Steadman without incident. Chikigak-Steadman was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility charged with three counts of Assault IV-DV and one count of Criminal Mischief V-DV with no bail pending arraignment.

    On 4/16/24 Palmer AST responded to Big Lake for report of a burglary. Investigation has resulted in the identification of two suspects, a male and a female. Arrest warrants have been requested for both parties and the investigation is ongoing. The male is being charged with DV Burglary 1st Degree, DV Criminal Mischief 4th Degree and Theft 4th Degree. The female is being charged with Burglary 1st Degree for her role as a getaway driver.

    Type: Theft 2nd, Criminal Trespass 1st

    On 4/16/24 at approximately 1010 hours Palmer AST recieved a report of a theft of a generator near Helms Dr in Big Lake. Prior to this call, at approximately 0909 hours Palmer AST had recieved a REDDI report of a vehicle driving errattically with a generator in the trunk of the car. Investigation revealed Casey Cizek, age 26 of Big Lake, had stolen the generator and multiple other tools. Cizek was contacted by AST at his residence near S Lodge Dr and arrested for Theft 2nd Degree and Criminal Trespass 1st Degree. Cizek's girlfriend, has been identified as an accomplice in the theft however, AST was unable to contact her. A warrant for her arrest is being requested. Cizek was remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial and held without bail for the charges listed above. Prior to arrival at pretrial AST located controlled substances on Cizek. An additional charge of Misconduct Involving Controlled Substances is being forwarded to the DAO.

    On 4/13/2024 AST responded to the area of Jackson St for a disturbance. Investigation revealed a juvenile at the residence broke items and caused injury to a family member. JPO was contacted and charges will be referred.

    On April 16, 2024, at approximately 1638 hours, Fairbanks AST responded to the area of Plack Road in North Pole for a report of a disturbance. Multiple witnesses saw William Chickalusion throw a female down to the ground on the side of Plack Road causing a laceration above her left eye and bruising to her left eye. William was arrested for assault in the fourth degree and remanded to FCC.

    On 4/16/2024, Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks received a REDDI report of a disoriented female having difficulty driving near University Ave. Investigation determined the driver, Amy Wood (age 44), was driving under the influence. Amy was arrested and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center on 1x count of DUI.

    On 17 April 2024, at approximately 0940 hours, VPSOs made contact with David Big-Joe, age 37 of Minto. Big-Joe had a warrant for FTA, on the original charge of DWLR. Bail was set at $1000. Big-Joe was transported to FCC and remanded for his warrant.

    On 04/16/2024 at approximately 1451 hours, the Highway Interdiction K9 Team conducted a traffic stop on a gold Chevy Malibu for an equipment violation on the Parks Highway near W. Museum Drive. The driver was identified as Derry Paxton, age 47 of Palmer. Investigation revealed Paxton to have a suspended driver's license with previous convictions of driving while suspended within the previous 10 years. Paxton was issued a misdemeanor summons for Driving While License Suspended.
